This years theme, Bringing our Languages Home, focuses on strengthening and reintegrating the languages back into our homes and communities. Our goal is to provide all participants with meaningful and sustainable approaches to help them further language learning, teaching, and retention in the home, communities, and classrooms.
Sessions could look like, but are not limited to:
- Language Nests
- MAP (Mentor-Apprentice Program)
- Elder Guidance
- Youth Involvement
- Traditional Parenting
- Identity
- Cultural Connection
- Existing Community Immersion Programs
- Interactive Workshops
*Deadline to submit an abstract is August 4th, 2023.

There will be a bus provided by Selkirk Transit at Canad Inns Garden City and Canalta Hotel to pick up and drop off participants for the HOL Gathering.
Morning pick up 7:45am at Canad Inns Garden City, 8:15am at Canalta in Selkirk and drop off Lower Fort Garry at 8:30am.
Afternoon pick up from Lower Fort Garry at 4:30pm, drop off 4:45pm at Canalta and 5:15pm Canad Inns Garden City for drop off .
Please note, this is a land-based gathering, therefore all vendors will be located outside in a tent. We will provide a heater if necessary.
